With a lifetime of designing award-winning gardens, floral art, and self-taught photography, Lucy Hunter’s work is constantly looking at ways in which we can soften and meld the boundaries between the inside and out. Her work focuses on capturing for a moment the fine and transitory shifts in nature, the light of the changing seasons, and always, colour, form, and composition.
When she is not travelling, Lucy retreats to her own, invariably interwined garden and studio in the mountains in North Wales, UK. She designs, teaches, and has a constant ongoing dialogue with the weeds in her garden. She has written 2 books, “The Flower Hunter” and “Creating a Floral Love Story Inspired by the Landscape”, which is due to be published Sept 23.
In this video, you will learn from her inspiring story:
- how she balances being a wife and mother with being a landscape designer and artist
- the importance of making time for creativity and finding the fuel for creating
- why she thinks melding the boundaries between the inside and out is important
- Much more!
